The Best Custom Shutters, Blinds & Shades!
Proudly Serving Raleigh, Durham and Central North Carolina

Congratulations to Sunburst’s newest Share Your Shutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters shows two rooms decked out with stunning new Polywood interior plantation shutters that beautifully accentuate both her home’s architecture and her own personal style.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, who goes by Taste of Coffey on Instagram, is a Boston-based home designer with a unique eye for matching colors in her decorating. A quick look at her home shows how she combines both neutral and brighter tones for a look that’s welcoming and comfortable, but at the same time incredibly stylish.

She even offered a few pieces of advice for designers in Raleigh and around the country:

  • Always have a color scheme in mind. When you design a room, you’re always able to adjust colors to customize it. Be sure to use tones either from your interior color scheme or ones that can complement it.

  • Be flexible in your color usage. I use shutters that are vibrant white and most of my furniture is gray, either fabric or weathered wood. So I decided to mix in pops of white and color accents.

Decorated Room With Polywood Plantation Shutters

Not only does Chelsey have a great eye for color, but the use of space in her house is fantastic too. From the chairs she uses that lead the eyes vertically to the wall and her beautiful shutters, to the evenly-spaced accessories in her shelving, Chelsey’s house is stylish, practical, and extremely cozy without ever seeming overwhelming.

As our #ShareYourShutters winner this season, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a Boston-area restaurant, in addition to having her designs featured here. To see her entire body of work, visit her personal site at TasteofCoffey.com.

And if you believe the shutters in your home look beautiful enough to be a winner, post a photo of them online with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. We want to see another Raleigh house to take next season’s prize!
